The flattering low-cut silhouette sits just below the ankle, creating a refined line that feels easy, relaxed, and slightly retro. Crafted in metallic gold leather for a sophisticated pop of colour, and set on our signature black rubber outsole, it's the kind of shoe you'll want to build your outfits around.

Evolved from our much-loved Movement Buckle Shoe, Tao is a reinterpretation designed to bring function and consideration in one bold, wear-all-day package. The triple-buckle detail feels fresh and modern, while the softly structured upper and almond-toe shape keep things grounded in comfort.

This season, we’ve reimagined Tao in a gold metallic tumbled leather, a hue we believe is playful and Radical Yes to the bone. Fresh and modern, the subtle tumbled texture softens the otherwise bold hue into a wearable statement piece.

The flattering ankle proportions are cut just below the ankle bone, creating a refined line that feels easy, relaxed, and slightly retro. The three silver-tone buckles offer a fully adjustable fit, while the internal footbed has a removable insole and a 4mm removable memory-foam fitting stabiliser, allowing you to fine-tune your fit bespoke to your needs.

Lined in our signature Electric Peach sheepskin, Tao is pure comfort from the first wear. To ensure these are ready for a full day of city-walking or cafe-sitting, we’ve included a suede heel panel and a soft "puff" at the heel to prevent slipping and provide immediate ease. Set upon our proprietary rubber outsole, Tao features full-flex construction and abrasion-tested tread for durability and grip.

Care Instructions

Metallic leather is a delicate material that is created by bonding metallic foil over the underlying leather. Whilst beautiful, it requires extra love and care. It is more prone to scuffing compared to regular leather finishes.

Clean when necessary, with a leather conditioner and soft cloth to remove any dirt.
Polish your shoes once a month using wax or cream polishes such as Waproo Platinum Shu-Glo to help rejuvenate your shoes from scratches and other signs of regular wear. Once your newly polished shoes have dried, you can reapply a waterproof spray for extra protection.
Regular waterproofing is essential to protect your shoes from unexpected showers. Try our Waproo Platinum Eco Stain & Water Repellent at least once a month on the Full Moon - we’ll send you a reminder when you sign up to our newsletter. Yes, we still care even when they’re in your hands!

My second pair
Love these shoes….. the sneaker/shoe that always gets a comment. Had the green so had to get the brown. Have never had so many say they love my shoes. Looks great with pants or skirts with or without socks…. Bright colour and patterned socks just add to the look. Being 65 years old can be considered old and some days I feel it…..but put these shoes on and you feel happy and a bit groovy!! Yes still saying the word groovy!! lol

No, the Tao silhouette is running long. If you are between sizes, we highly recommend sizing down. You can also perfectly tailor the fit to your foot using the three fully adjustable silver-tone buckles across the upper.

Are the Tao buckle shoes orthotic-friendly?

Yes! The internal footbed features a removable insole as well as an extra 4mm removable memory-foam fitting stabiliser. You can easily lift these out to fine-tune the space or seamlessly swap in your own custom orthotics.
