We are cultivating creativity in the Radical Yes community. To celebrate the inspiration behind our winter collection, Cocoon, we are inviting you to share your story for a chance to win up to a $1500 Radical Yes wardrobe.

The Brief
Compose a short piece of creative writing based on your interpretation of the prompt “Cocoon”. Your work can take any format - fiction, poetry, essay, short story, memoir, or script. The only parameter is that it is original, human-made work and must not exceed 750 words.
The Prizes
- 1st Prize: $1500 Radical Yes Gift Voucher + your work published on the Yes Journal.
- 2nd Prize: $500 Radical Yes Gift Voucher.

Entries will be judged by the Radical Yes team with the winning entries to be chosen by author Chloe Elizabeth Wilson.
Winners will be chosen on Tuesday 16th June 2026.

What formats of writing are accepted?
Your work can take any format of creative writing including fiction, poetry, essay, short story, memoir or script. Your interpretation is only limited to your imagination.
When is the deadline?
Entries strictly close at 11:59 PM AEST on Tuesday 9th June 2026.
When will the winners be announced?
The Radical Yes team will shortlist the entries, and our guest judge Chloe will select the final winners. Winners will be announced on Tuesday 16th June 2026.
How do I submit my actual story?
Once you sign up using the form above, check your inbox. We will send you a welcome email containing a link to a secure Google Form where you can upload your final piece.
Can I use AI to write my entry?
No. This competition is a celebration of human creativity. All entries must be 100% original, human-made work.
How does the $25 welcome voucher work?
When you register for the competition above, your $25 voucher code will be sent to your email alongside the submission link. It can be used on your first Radical Yes purchase and is valid for 7 days.
