FAQs
Our Story & Philosophy
Who is Radical Yes?
Radical Yes is an independent, female-owned and led fashion brand established in 2013 by Kerryn Moscicki. We design beautiful, considered flat shoes for creative women, allowing them to move through life with grace. Our business is proudly family-owned and self-funded, and our aesthetic is positive and joyful—combining a sense of humour with everyday function. Read more about us here.
Why do you only make flat shoes?
We believe in 'Flat Shoe Liberation'. Founded originally around our founder's yoga practice, our stance to only make flats evolved into a statement for the modern, active woman. We believe a flat shoe can be elegant, bold, and provide the grounded foundation you need to live your most creative life—whether you're chasing children, standing on trams, or walking 10,000 steps a day. Discover more about Flat Shoe Liberation here.
Where are Radical Yes shoes made?
Our shoes are made in Guangdong, China. Since our inception, we have chosen to work exclusively with a small handful of independent, family-owned factories that share our values and our dedication to creating the highest quality products.
Product & Stores
Where can I buy your shoes in person?
You can shop our entire collection and get expertly fitted at The Fitting Salon, located at 554 Queensberry Street, North Melbourne, VIC 3051. We do not have any external stockists.
Do you sell digital gift cards?
Yes, we offer digital gift cards in set amounts ranging from $50 to $250. They are delivered instantly via email and are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase. Purchase our gift cards here.
Will a sold-out style or colour be restocked?
Because we believe in considered, small-batch production, we make our shoes and bags in limited-edition runs usually in batches of 60 to 100. If a seasonal colour sells out, it is likely gone forever! We occasionally restock our core "black" silhouettes, but the best way to secure a pair is to buy them when they are still available, or join our mailing list for restock alerts.
Sizing & Fitting
How do Radical Yes shoes fit?
Most of our styles run true to European sizing. Because every shoe last is different, we include specific fitting notes directly on each product page. We only make full sizes. If you wear a half-size, we strongly recommend sizing up rather than sizing down, as you can easily customise a slightly roomy fit by adding an extra pair of our Radical Yes insoles. We also recommend checking our size and fit guide to help you find your perfect fit.
Are your shoes supportive and orthotic friendly?
Yes! Many of our shoes, especially our trainers and boots, feature removable insoles. This allows you to easily swap them out for your own custom orthotics. For styles without removable insoles, we build in dedicated heel and arch support to cup your feet securely. Always check the product description to confirm. You can also use our filter function to find all shoes that are orthotic friendly.
Are Radical Yes shoes suitable for wide feet or bunions?
Absolutely. Many of our silhouettes, particularly our square-toe styles and slip-ons, are famously forgiving. Because we use super-soft, premium leathers, our shoes will naturally stretch and mould up to 8-10% around pressure points (like bunions or wide joints) as you wear them in.
Account & Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept most major credit cards (including American Express), PayPal, Shop Pay, Google Pay, and flexible installment options via Afterpay and Zip Pay. In-store, we also accept cash.
How do I use my store credit or gift voucher?
Simply enter your 16-digit code (sent via email or text) into the 'Discount code or gift card' section at checkout and click apply. Gift cards and credit notes are valid for 3 years and can also be used in-store!

Radical Fitting Hacks
What should I do if my new shoes feel a little too big?
Try padding the shoe out with an extra pair of innersoles! Because we do not make half sizes, adding an innersole will make the shoe feel approximately a half-size smaller. If your shoe has a buckle, a local cobbler can easily add an extra hole for a tighter fit.
What should I do if my new shoes feel too tight or snug?
Try removing the removable innersoles (if any) already in the shoe to gain an extra half-size of room. Wear them like this around the house for a few days. Our leather shoes can stretch up to 8-10% over pressure points, and synthetics up to 5-7%. Once they soften, you can add the innersole back in for support! Note: Sandals, slides, and some loafers do not have removable innersoles.
My shoes are rubbing my heels. How do I wear them in?
Try our favourite hairdryer trick! Put on thick socks, blast the shoes with a hairdryer until they are warm and soft, and walk around your house until they cool. Alternatively, try gel heel grips or blister band-aids. If the curve of the heel cap is digging in, you can try gently pushing down the top of the heel cap to slightly change its shape.

Shoe Care & Maintenance
How do I care for and protect my leather shoes?
We recommend spraying your new leather shoes with Waproo Platinum Eco Stain & Water Repellent to protect them from showers and dirt. Polish your shoes once a month (we like to do it on the full moon!) and use a leather conditioner like Waproo Platinum Shu-Glo to renew shoes that have developed scratches from regular wear.
How do I clean fabric and nylon shoes?
Spray them from new with Waproo Stain & Water Repellent, and always avoid excessive exposure to water or puddles, which can cause colours to run. To clean nylon, simply wipe with a damp cloth. For fabric shoes, use a specialty fabric cleaner and aim for an all-over clean, as spot cleaning can produce uneven patches.
How do I protect and clean suede shoes?
First, treat them with Waproo Platinum Eco Stain & Water Repellent. If you manage to stain your suede or nubuck shoes, use a suede cleaning block or a professional treatment product from a shoe repairer. Once clean, brush them with a suede brush to restore the lovely, soft texture.
What should I do if my item arrives with a factory fault?
Because our products are handmade, they can occasionally be subject to human error or material failure. If your item is damaged right out of the box, please contact us at yes@radicalyes.com.au. Our quality control team will assess the issue and will respond accordingly with solutions. Please be sure to include necessary details, as well as images of the fault.
Please note that general wear and tear (scratches, creasing, and outsole abrasion) from regular use is not considered a factory fault.
