Details & Construction

These sneakers are crafted from seriously smooth gold leather that maintains its shape for durability and all day wear.

The contrast gum outsole is made from vulcanised rubber, which has undergone the strictest abrasion testing and is built to last season after season. The double straps and silver loop buckles not only look good, they make them practical for the school run yet chic enough for the workplace. In hotter weather, the suede-lined heel cap means you can wear these kicks barefoot with natural leather breathability and comfort.

Care instructions

Metallic leather is a delicate material that is created by bonding a metallic foil over the underlying leather and it requires some extra love and care. It is a lot more prone to scuffing compared to normal leather.

Clean when necessary, with a leather conditioner and soft rag to remove any dirt.
Polish your shoes once a month using wax or cream polishes such as Waproo Platinum Shu-Glo to help rejuvenate your shoes from scratches and other signs of regular wear. Once your newly polished shoes have dried, you can re-apply a waterproof spray for extra protection.

Super radical gold sneakers
Love these intensely. I’ve been eying them off for ages as I wanted to add some gold to my radical yes collection. These are super cushioned and no ‘breaking in’ required. I’m not going to lie, velcro is fabulously appealing to a lazy gewl like me. Easy on, easy off. Super cute paired with pants and I’m looking forward to experimenting with them in a multitude of outfits.

All day comfortable, put a smile on my face shoes
High quality, durable shoes. Very comfortable insole, sturdy outsole, high quality leather.
I have a narrow-ish foot and these Velcro shoes fit great. The rounded toe box has enough room for my toes, which is hard to find for my foot shape.

I wasn't really into gold shoes but these are fantastic. Go with everything, elevated and comfortable. I tend to be a 40 but got these in 41 as I think I've worked out that I'm a 41 in RY closed shoes and a 40 in sandals.

Go for Gold!
I’m not ashamed to admit it, these are my third pair of Journey Gold sneaks and probably my seventh pair of Journeys (also loved the white versions, silver and green). They have also been borrowed by friends (and kept or gifted). When you find something you love… and when you find the best design of any grown-up velcro sneakers on the market (the tongue that’s sewn in so never slips down, so cushiony, removable inner soles, lovely contrasting details of blush pink leather on the inside, and they go with everything, and go day to night). For a long journey on any road travel with Radical Yes Journey 3.0. Total winner.
