Introducing Ballet Core Trainer. A crushed silver dream inspired by vintage ballet trainers, 60’s style low profile trainers and modern functionality. Crafted in fresh silver and cream tones on a gum sole, these trainers are a true hybrid style - wear them active or lean into a sharper aesthetic. As always our signature removable insoles give walking on clouds comfort.

Details & Construction

Crafted from crushed silver leather and cream leather detailing on the side panels and lace facing the Ballet Core Trainer is built upon a EVA midsole cut to a subtle wedge and finished with a rubber outsole for spring and comfort.

We have designed this style with a streamlined silhouette to be low cut and elegant, subtle padding around the ankle gives support and comfort while the gold foil Radical Yes branding keeps these trainers feeling sharp. As always our signature removable insoles give walking on clouds comfort.

Care instructions

Metallic leather is a delicate material that is created by bonding a metallic foil over the underlying leather and it requires some extra love and care. It is a lot more prone to scuffing compared to normal leather.

Clean when necessary, with a leather conditioner and soft rag to remove any dirt.
Polish your shoes once a month using wax or cream polishes such as Waproo Platinum Shu-Glo to help rejuvenate your shoes from scratches and other signs of regular wear. Once your newly polished shoes have dried, you can re-apply a waterproof spray for extra protection.
Regular waterproofing is essential to protect from unexpected showers. Try our Waproo Platinum Eco Stain & Water Repellent at least once a month on the Full Moon - we’ll send you a reminder when you sign up to our newsletter. Yes, we still care even when they’re in your hands!

I've been wearing these shoes all week so I thought I'd do an updated review. The Ballet Core trainers are soft and comfortable and the leather wears really well. RYes metallic shoes (which I'm obsessed with) have had issues with scuffs and scratching in the past but this crushed metallic leather seems to be a winner—no scuffs yet—same with the bronze bag (which I've worn constantly for weeks). Well worth noting Team Rad: whatever this leather is, this is the stuff. I have silver polish on hand but I haven't had to use it yet. I love the shape of the shoes as well and the milk/off-white detailing—these shoes are SO PRETTY. I've been wearing them with long skirts and they look great! Comfortable, hard-wearing, smart and pretty—if they were a person I'd want to marry them! I rarely wear the same shoes multiple days in a row but these silver Ballet Core trainers are just irresistible—and they are fast becoming my favourite Radical Yes shoes of all time!

silver slipper compliments
These silver sneakers are Radical Yes for me.
They are super stylish, Fun, incredibly well made and comfortable from first wear… and pay for themselves in smiles. For all those other ‘so called invisible women in there 50’s out there, grab a pair of these and start getting loads of compliments on your style.
