Radical Yes 'Neptune' Athletic Sandal - Elephant Leather / Navy Nylon Straps

Radical Athletic Sandals! Designed to be worn daily and built on a molded foot bed for superior comfort, Neptune velcro sandals will be going on all the adventures this summer. 

After the success of our elevated wedges we have been working hard to extend our options in sandal land. We had been wanting to make a hiking sandal for sometime but had never been able to source the molded outsoles we needed in our small batch quantities. Our new maker was able to help source this new outsole - that includes a comfort padded arch and molded toe section for a feeling that is like walking on clouds - and then execute the complicated leather and velcro strap finish we wanted on this new last and we couldn't be happier with the result.

The silhouette itself has been built as three velcro straps cross the upper, making the sizing very adjustable to whatever arch shape you have. Very forgiving in the width also because of the adjustable straps. The straps themselves were created with thick die-cut leather panels for long-wearing durability and then covered in Nylon Webbing for the full summer-on-the-run mood. Intentional 'warrior' sandal execution through the back of the shoe with further diecut and wrapped strapping. Each strap is finished with leather tabs set with chunky self-coloured chunky buckle detail. Our favourite detail however is the embossed 'R.Yes' strap reminding you that a positive 'yes' day is ahead!

Running true to fit in both length and width. Please order your usual size and note no need to size up as we have had to in the past with our wedges. Because of the adjustable straps sizing is easily adjusted for most feet shapes including wide and very narrow feet. You can check out our size guide here.

Mining a super modern athletic mood, the contrast of the smokey Elephant Grey leather under straps, against the flash of Navy Nylon webbing is equal parts understated and radical. While there is something unexpected about these two colours together, we liked the urban summer feeling it conjured. Finished with Navy leather tabs at the strap ends and Black polycarbonate buckles. It's important to note we have used a thick hide 1 piece upper on the leather straps so they have a very soft natural finish through the inner which is essentially unlined. The upper is framed by a black injection Molded outsole that has also been variegated (lines through the outsole) to help prevent slipping in wet conditions. 

Every day of Summer! YES! These sandals have been designed to be your trainer substitutes in Summer and so in this way we like wearing them with a kind of casual-ironic-hiking vibe in mind. Printed tees, tucked into easy denims at the weekend but also quite great for mid-week juxtaposition with a suit and blazer for summer meetings in the studio. We love these for evening escapades with a super feminine all white dress or something long and floaty to let the shoes be the anchors that ground you. 

Not really. The leather under straps on this shoe have had their edges treated and painted to ensure rigidity and durability to their form meaning these beauties really will hold their shape for years to come.

Start by waterproofing with a quality spray - we recommend and sell Waproo. If your toe tappers become wet let them dry and dust down with a soft cloth
