Saturn Returns - High Top Trainer in Klein Blue Leather / Australian Merino Shearling

The silhouette runs as a classic high top trainer, cut in 8-up lace count to ensure maximum ankle hugging proportions. Gentle internal padding through the throat, not to mention the fully lined wool inner for total winter wearability. If you have not tried these shoes before it is basically like wearing ugg boots without ruining your style credibility.

Running true to fit.  A little like ugg-boots, the shearling lining does relax with wear and 'soften down' to mould to your foot shape.

This material will have around 5 - 8% stretch on wearing depending on the amount of pressure applied to the upper. 

Gently buffed leather upper gives a more polished finish to our palette this season and when framed with a contrasting gum outsole creates a cool, man-style sharp feel to a more athletic silhouette. We are so excited this season to be using Australian Merino Wool lining for our shearling boots program and this year have picked a contrasting 80's inspired Biscuit colour across all the boots. Matching eyelets add to the monochromatic moodiness of the upper. All finished with blue coloured flat cotton athletic laces compete with our signature metal toggles on the lace ends to prevent fraying.

It's worth noting the upper leather is a high quality thick-handle leather that has a natural wax finish (slightly buffed to give it shine) that will help to repel the weather and keep the feet super warm. The shearling lining is a second layer natural wool detail, meaning these boots are much thicker than previous incarnations of our shearling story.

We love to go utilitarian in our outfits with these beauties and tend to match them with lots of other textural moments of black - black knits, black wool coats and this season even black leather. 

We also enjoy pairing with more structured shell coats and puffer jackets belted at the waist to keep the overall silhouette feminine. There are obvious choices too - oversized knits and turtle-neck anythings that are great for casual Friday options.

Also ace with ankle grazing cropped flares to show off the neat as a pin topline on these super radical shoes.  

This is high quality leather upper so it does need care. 

Leather is a wonderful material, breathable, durable and beautiful. But without a bit of love it can dry out and deteriorate.

For optimum care, we recommend and sell "Waproo Waterproofer" to protect them from unexpected showers. We recommend spraying monthly on the Full Moon and can send you a reminder if you sign up to our newsletter here.

Polish your leather shoes around once a month and clean when necessary with a leather conditioner and soft rag to remove any dirt accumulated on your travels.

For extra special treatment, polishing can help renew shoes that have developed scratches or other signs of regular wear. Wax and cream polishes available from a local shoe repairer will breath new life into your beloved toe tappers. Once your newly polished shoes have dried you can re-apply a waterproof spray for extra protection.
