In the beginning, there was one silhouette in 7 colours.
The original shoe was called Abundance, as a means to set an intention on where the collection would go. The idea was to create styles so classic, they would endure beyond seasonal ranges and be more like wardrobe essentials. Something we could repeat every year in different palettes as a go-to staple.

This was 2013 and we have come a long way through space since then. But that original lace up silhouette - Abundance, and its ‘summer sister’- the laser cut version Smiley Smile - have remained a constant in our collection since we began. As we have evolved and the collection begins to move in new directions, the time has now come to say good-bye to this style which has seen us through more than 4 Summers of radical inspiration. As we have now begun work on our 2018 Spring collection, we are looking at new ways to interpret the laser cut finish and have been exploring new pattern concepts for this treatment.

To say goodbye we offer up a short history of a great shoe, as documented through our many (many!) photo shoots and interpretations of this style. We have loved all your stories on where this shoe has taken you - from our very first customers we meet at the Pop Up shop on Lygon Street, through to those wonder women who work in Libraries and Hospitals that require closed toe shoes even in Summer.

We know so many of you have enjoyed this silhouette and so we look forward to presenting new ideas for the look next spring. In the meantime, don’t miss out on the final pairs of this style which will soon be an eBay reseller favourite. Yes!
